The Spirit itself does not flee... It is pure Presence, still breath, source intact... It knows neither fear, nor detour... It is what sees, what is, out of time and movement...But what is often referred to as "spirit" in human language, this quest for meaning, this need to rise, this upward movement, can sometimes become an escape... An escape out of the matter, out of the feeling, out of the real incarnate...When we search for the Spirit without going through the soul, without going through the body, without recognizing the mental as a tool to purify, then what is called "spirituality" becomes a subtle escape, a fluffy cloud so as not to feel pain, a quest for light so as not to face its shadows...But the true Spirit doesn't run away, it comes down... It does not rise at the expense of others, he crosses shadows, embraces matter, penetrates emotion without losing it, and loves without clinging...The Spirit is not somewhere else... It is what remains when all that leaks is looked in the face...
