9. And that great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.10. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.11. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.12. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. Revelation 12:9-12 ?? John sees the power and authority, removed from Satan, and cast out of his residence, he is named, the old serpent, for that was the instrument used, to seduce Eve. Called the devil, meaning accuser, and Satan, meaning adversary or enemy, he deceives, all who know not the truth. The Salvation of God, is Christ the Savior of the world, obtained by His sacrifice, the invitation is to all, sadly not everyone will receive, the sad part being, if Satan, lost his battle before he came to earth, how will he or any followers prevail. Christ's followers overcame Satan's accusations, by the blood of Christ, and the Gospel message. Having loved Christ, more than their lives on earth, they share in Christ's victory. The heavens rejoice, seeing, Satan's kingdom weakened, as the interests, of Christ, and His church flourish. Satan comes with great fury, being conquered, cast out, his residence now with man, his mission is to destroy, what God, has created, and comparing his time to eternity, he knows, his time is running out, and he shall be confined in an eternal place of torment, the final defeat. Amen.
