"I'm totally for the abolition of slavery. I'm honestly as pro-slave as you can get. It's just that we believe it is horribly wrong to criminalize slave owners. They don't know what they're actually doing when owning a slave. That's why the slave owners are actually the second victims of slavery. Slavery hurts them too. Some slave owners actually get hurt themselves when whipping their slaves.That's why I support bills that instead simply require decent burials for slaves that are beat to death. We are also working to pass legislation that bans slavery after 60 years old. And we have another bill that requires all rows in between cotton plants to be expanded to at least 4' wide so medical help can arrive if a slave is badly injured when being beaten.But we will never enforce any of these laws for the slave owner because 'enforcement' means 'penalizing those who would violate the law'... and God loves slave owners too. It's all about offering slave owners compassion, not condemnation."
