🚨Look up tonight – it’s the last micromoon of 2025!
Step outside tonight and look to the southeast after sunset – May’s Flower Moon will be glowing low on the horizon. Named for the burst of wildflowers that bloom across spring landscapes, this full moon will be the final micromoon of the year, when the Moon is at its farthest point from Earth – over 251,000 miles (405,000 km) away.
It may look a bit smaller and dimmer, but its silvery light will cast a soft glow across the landscape – a perfect moment for stargazing, reflection, or a moonlit walk among the flowers.
🌍 Best viewing time: Just after sunset
📍 Moonrise in NYC: 8:31 p.m. | LA: 8:15 p.m. | London: 9:07 p.m.
Look for the red star Antares glowing near it – a fiery heart beside the moon’s calm face...
