18. Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;19. To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.20. Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.Psalm 33:18-20. The psalmist proclaims the awesomeness and greatness of God. God is mindful of all who reverence Him. Who exercise confidence in His mercy, grace, and pardon. If God is aware of the smallest birds. How much more is an individual who seeks to honor Him? If God is for you who can prevail against you? Those who have put their trust in God will have His love rest upon them. Christ has come to deliver the eternal soul from destruction. And to provide the spiritual food of His word to a starving world. To simply wait on the Lord is the trust in His guidance, His word, and His deliverance. Christ becomes the shield from the judgment we earn in sin. Sin must be paid in blood. Christ gave His to protect us. There is no love greater than this. And all are invited to come and partake in forgiveness, and restoration, provided in Christ's sacrifice. Amen.
