One year before that in 1904 (St Louis world fair) there were 'great fires' burning down Baltimore AND Toronto! This is a real photograph from St Louis at night in 1904. That domed building palace is over 2000 ft away. NYC crystal palace (1853-1858) was a tower like this, same as the one in St Louis, same as giant one for 1894's Midwinter fair. All old world infrastructure to power electric cars, say.
