Peace begins with me... (The outside world reflects what I choose to welcome inside) "The peace of God begins within me. I choose peace here right now. " Often we look for peace in an ideal future: when the circumstances improve, when we've solved our problems. But A Course in Miracles teaches us that peace is an immediate choice, a choice we are making at the moment. It's not bound to what's happening around us, but to what we accept inside. --- Why does peace begin within us? Because we create our perception of the world. What happens around us is perceived through the filter of our thoughts and beliefs. If we believe we are isolated, threatened, or limited, then the world will respond to these beliefs. But if we choose to see peace and love, then we will start to see this in the world. --- The power of the now moment "Peace is never in the past. She's never in the future. She is here, in the moment, in the light of your heart. " The moment is the only place where we can choose peace. " --- Exercise: Choose peace in the moment 1. Take a few moments to get comfortable. 2. Close your eyes and take a deep breath. 3. Say on the inside : "Peace begins with me. I choose peace now. I accept the peace in this moment as it is. " 4. Feel the peace run through every cell of your body. Feel it spread over your mind and thoughts. You don't have to change a thing.
