I’ve spent most of my life being the one who gives...
Holding space, offering light, and being the steady one.
I’ve done it with an open heart because it’s who I am. However, somewhere along the way, I forgot what it felt like to truly receive. Not as a transaction, nor with strings attached, but simply pure support... freely offered and freely given.
Recently, something shifted deep within me. Someone donated to Suey and I... not because they had to, but because they saw our purpose and wanted to nurture it to help us establish Rainbow Ridge as a temple of love and remembrance.
And the craziest part? It almost made me uncomfortable... Not because it was wrong, but because it was new. My body had learned to survive by giving but had never truly felt safe receiving.
For the first time in a long time, I had to pause. I had to breathe and allow something in.
I want to say this to anyone who has always been the strong one...
You deserve to receive. Not later, and not only when you’re exhausted, but now. Not because you’ve earned it, but simply because you exist. Your light matters.
This is how we rise now.... together.
No more lone flamekeepers. No more silent burdens.
Let those who see you show you. 🙏🙏🙏
