1. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.2. The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.Psalm 110:1-3. The psalmist speaks prophetically. Jehovah the Father speaks to His Son the Messiah. The Lord of the psalmist. The Almighty placed Jesus to rule with power and authority. Until all the enemies of Jesus are under His feet. Jesus has enemies, the enemies of His people are His. Sin, Satan, the world, Jews that would not have Him as Messiah. All shall be cast into the lake of fire. The antichrist, the false prophet, and at the very end Satan. The rod of strength is the Gospel message. Like a shepherd's staff, it has the ability to rescue or discipline. It is the power of God unto salvation. All who refuse its instructions refuse Jesus. All the enemies of Jesus will suffer defeat, and the last to be destroyed is death. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 1 Corinthians 15:55. Amen.
