2. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4. Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Psalm 103:2-4.
The psalmist gives several reasons to bless, honor, and praise God. All the psalmist received from God he used to praise and glorify His name. Life and family and a restored soul are certainly a reason to give thanks and praise.
The psalmist continues with the things we can only receive from God.
Forgiveness and pardon for sin. A healthy soul and spirit free from the disease of sin.
A redeemed life eternal, free from judgment.
Where can we find God's mercy and lovingkindness, only in Christ the Lord.
Christ did not deal with us according to our sins. Instead, He paid the price with His very own blood, which cost His life. He was raised from death as the first man never to experience it again.
We shall as His followers at the very end be raised from death to life eternal because of Jesus. Amen.
