2. And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.3. And he spake this parable unto them, saying, 4. What man of you having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it.Luke 15:2-4. Jesus tells the parable of the lost sheep, speaking to the religious leaders. For lost sheep, will never find the flock without a shepherd. The religious leaders taught that God will be found if you come to Him in the right way. Jesus teaches that God seeks sinners to restore them to the kingdom. The rebuke to the religious leaders is they had no joy in sinners finding salvation. Jesus said one sinners who repents will cause more joy in heaven than all those who think they can get in heaven without Jesus. The sheep of the flock was accepted back to the flock without repentance. But no sinners will be saved except they repent and turn from sin. Amen.
