Victoria Spartz (R-IN) was screamed at by activists during a town hall meeting as she defended the work DOGE was doing. A Newsweek report of the event claimed Spartz was booed and berated by “her constituents,” but, again, it would have been interesting to know how many of these disruptors really did live in the congresswoman’s district.A few voices on the left are quietly admitting that the Democrats’ platform is a bust, but they have painted themselves into a corner. Can they really abandon the ideas of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and brush aside “transgender ideology” and other radical positions the party has adopted over the past decade without being seen as abandoning the progressive vision?Caught in this trap of their own making, Democrats have gone all in on fake outrage, theatrics, and even violence and vandalism.
