BREAKING 🚨: The House Just Passed the SAVE Act Requiring Proof of U.S. Citizenship to Vote — Nearly Every Democrat Voted Against It
Holy shit — it actually happened.
The House has officially passed the SAVE Act (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act), which requires documentary proof of U.S. citizenship (like a passport or birth certificate) to register for federal elections.
Final vote: 220–208
👉 Every Republican voted yes
👉 Nearly every Democrat voted no — only four crossed party lines to support it
Let that sink in:
Requiring proof that you’re a U.S. citizen to vote in a U.S. election is somehow controversial to Democrats. 🤡
Trump: “This is common sense. Only U.S. citizens should vote in U.S. elections.”
And they still voted against it.
The bill also pushes states to purge non-citizens from voter rolls, which shouldn’t even be a debate — yet here we are.
Next stop: the Senate, where it’ll need 60 votes. Buckle up.
