16. He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me. 17. And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.18. And he said unto them, I beheld held Satan as lightning fall from heaven.Luke 10:16-18. Jesus sends seventy followers in pairs, with authority to preach the Gospel. Jesus tells them all that hear you are hearing Me. All that hate you hate Me. All that hate Me, hate the Almighty Father who sent Me. The seventy return with joy. Not one has been harmed or injured. They rejoiced that the devils obeyed them in Jesus' name. Jesus reveals how Satan's fall from heaven comes as quick as lightning. Satan in Ezekiel 28:14-16 goes from glorified to profane. From having access to heaven Job 1:12 to being restricted to earth Revelation 12:9. From earth to bondage in bottomless pit for 1,000 years Revelation 20:1-3. From the pit to the lake of fire Revelation 20:10. Each of these verses shows Satan falling lower to the end. All who are in Christ, the Lord share the fruit of His victory over Satan and His reward of eternal life in heaven. Amen.
