New! Ukraine Is Building A $1.5 Billion Ski Resort In The Mountains
While the war in Ukraine continues to rage on, with Volodymyr Zelenskyy refusing to sign a mineral deal or ceasefire, a new ski resort is being built in the Carpathian Mountains.
OKKO Group recently started construction on the GORO Mountain Resort, which is set to rival Europe’s best alpine destinations.
The ski resort will be located 423 miles from Kyiv and 100 miles from the Polish border. It will feature 41 ski trails across a ski area of 890 acres and will feature Ukraines first ever gondola lift. The project will also have 25 hotels with 5.500 rooms.
OKKO Group, the gas station company behind it, is paying $500 million and plans to raise another $1 billion from investors.
The first part of the resort should be finished by 2028.
