21. And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.22. Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.23. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.Luke 7:21-23. John the Baptist is in prison for an extended period. Sending his followers to ask Jesus if He is the Messiah or should they look for another. John was looking for someone who would free them from the political occupation of the Romans. Jesus immediately heals the blind, lame, deaf, brings the dead back to life, and preaches the Gospel message to the lost. Jesus tells John's followers to tell John what they have witnessed. Jesus came on a personal level to meet individual needs and not with spectacular displays of political deliverance. Jesus is still meeting personal needs starting with the saving of eternal souls. Amen.
