32. And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.
33. And in the
synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,
34. Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.
Luke 4:32-34.
Jesus is teaching on the sabbath day. There is a man in the synagogue who is possessed by evil spirits.
Jesus' teaching has been noticed, and the people see the power in His words.
Now the evil spirits can not keep quiet because of the power of His teaching and they cry out.
Let us alone. Are you going to destroy us. Thou art the Holy One of God.
Amazing that devils and spirits under Satan's power, know Christ, but the people He came to save are ignorant.
Jesus tells them to be silent, showing that He has power and authority in the spiritual realm.
Christ needs no profession from demons, His very life showed who He is.
The Christ, Savior, the Son of the Living God.
And all can know Him this day. Just ask. Jesus is waiting. Amen.
