(Gray News) – A newborn is safe after being surrendered to a Safe Haven Baby Box that became operational less than six months ago in Tennessee.The Chattanooga Fire Department said the healthy infant was dropped off at Fire Station 6 Tuesday night.The baby box at this location became operational in November 2024.“To the parent that walked up to this Baby Box and selflessly surrendered your newborn, thank you,” founder Monica Kelsey said in a statement on Facebook.“Thank you for keeping your newborn safe and thank you for trusting Chattanooga Fire Dept to take it from here.
