2. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4. Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Psalm 103:2-4.
The psalmist gives very clear reasons to bless the LORD. The psalmist declares that God is honored when His people praise and thank Him appropriately. The psalmist looks to the eternal part of himself and asks it to praise and thank the Lord.
Who can receive from the Lord His benefits and then forget to give thanks.
I myself can say in truth, I have been saved by Christ. I have been healed from a back injury that kept me in bed for a year. 2003 I was saved from destruction, being hit on a motorcycle coming home from work, broken pelvis, laid up for 16 months. Went back to work, Ironworker Local 433 Los Angeles and retired in 2013.
I have many things to thank God for, family and friends, and all my needs are taken care of.
72 now getting closer to the end here. But I have all eternity to praise Christ and enjoy what He has prepared for me.
Christ is available to all. Amen.
