The recently unsealed JFK documents include numerous references to Israel, Israelis, and the Israeli Intelligence Service alongside Agency Counterintelligence Chief James Angleton, all marked for redaction by the CIA, spanning from March 9, 1954, to January 13, 1967. Angleton served as the Chief of CIA Counterintelligence from 1954 through Kennedy’s assassination in 1963, remaining in the position until his resignation in 1974. James Angleton, serving as a CIA’s liason to Mossad and Shin Bet, played a key role in covering up Israel’s illegal Dimona nuclear weapons program, which was facilitated using stolen American uranium through NUMEC. NUMEC, a uranium enrichment firm founded in 1957 by Jewish industrialist Zalman Shapiro, processed uranium for the US Navy and is alleged to have smuggled materials into Israel for the development of nuclear weapons starting in 1961. Months before his assassination, Kennedy wrote a strongly worded letter to Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion, demanding international inspections of the Dimona reactor. This followed Kennedy’s 1961 directive for American inspections to verify that Israel was not developing nuclear weapons. However, Israel staged fake control rooms and dummy installations to conceal its efforts from American scrutiny. After Kennedy’s assassination, President LBJ allowed Israel to covertly pursue nuclear weapons by halting investigations into the Dimona reactor. To this day, Israel refuses to acknowledge its nuclear arsenal and will not sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. James Angleton was a hardcore zionist and Israel held a ceremony on his behalf when he passed away. That's how much he "helped" Israel in its early development post WW2.
