26. It iseasier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.27. And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?27. And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.Mark 10:25-27. Jesus is talking with a rich young man, who asked how he could get to heaven. Jesus says, obey the commandments. The young man says I have since I was young. Jesus says you lack one thing, sell all that you have give it to the poor, and follow me. The young man left sad. He could not part with his wealth. It was worth more than Christ. Many have chosen this path. Jesus, in a humorous way, speaks about the largest animal around Israel, and the smallest opening. With mankind salvation is impossible. It's like a camel going through a needle's eye. It's impossible to man, but not to God. God's grace through Christ is sufficient to save sinners. We have the invitation it is up to each individual, to accept or refuse. Do you seek Christ's rewards as Savior or His judgment as Judge. The decision is yours. Amen.
