49. But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:50. For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.Mark 6:49-50. Jesus has just fed 5,000 men with a small lunch. If you read this Chapter 6, you will see Jesus using His power over all the laws of nature. Feeding over 5,000 and collecting 12 baskets of leftovers. When Christ provides anything, it is more than enough. He sends His disciples home in the boat. After praying, He walks on the water, and the Word says He would have passed them, but they cried out in terror, thinking He was a ghost. The love of Jesus for His own, He comforts them, with, it is I. The waves of the storms of life can seem overwhelming. But Jesus says Be of good cheer I am with you. Immediately, the boat was at shore. People recognize that it is Jesus, and they bring all who are afflicted and they are healed instantly. Those who recognize who Jesus is shall be rewarded. Laws have authors. And Jesus is the Author of all the laws of nature. The power of Christ is shown in feeding a multitude with a small lunch with leftovers, walking on water, calming the storm, and healing the sick instantly. There in no person that has ever walked the earth that has this power, except Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior the Son of the Living God. Amen.
