Mother Earth is waiting,
longing for her people to return.
She wants us to wake from the numbness that has settled upon us like a heavy fog.
She waits for us to remember, to feel her again,
to touch her, to smell her,
to shake off the forgetting that has bound us to a world of hollow lights and empty noise.
So many of us have fallen into sleep,
held captive by the sound of machines,
the flicker of screens,
drawn into illusions
by a world that pulls us further from what is real,
further from nature, the rain, and the fire in our soul.
But she waits with open arms.
To return to her is to break the spell,
to reclaim what was stolen,
to gather the sacred pieces of ourselves
and root ourselves once more
into the soil of Mother Earth...
