The NCAA officially changed its “gender policies” on Thursday, banning men from competing in collegiate women’s sports. “A student-athlete assigned male at birth may not compete on a women’s team,” the new policy reads, although women are still permitted to compete on men’s teams. Previously, the NCAA allowed men to compete in the women’s category after undergoing at least one year of testosterone suppression treatment. That’s what led to images like the one above.
