ABOLISH THE IRS
Cartoon published 01/25/2025
President Trump returned to the Oval Office and so has a portrait of Andrew Jackson. If one wonders why a Republican president has the first Democrat president on his wall, the answer is simple. Jackson was a populist who battled an entrenched deep state after he was elected. Yes, the swamp and bureaucracy had already taken hold in Washington D.C.
It took two terms, but Jackson ended the central bank and he was the only president to get us completely out of debt.
Getting out of debt today will be a trickier problem since it has run up to nearly $40 trillion. Trump can start by dismantling the system that brought us the debt—the Federal Reserve and the IRS. Why are we paying debt on our own money to private globalist bankers who own the Federal Reserve?
The United States got along fine without the IRS for well over a hundred years. Then in 1913 the Federal Reserve was created and it became necessary to collect money from citizens. At first they told us only the ultra rich would pay, but now everyone pays—or at the very least everyone goes through the hassle of filing and waiting for their own money to be returned. Without interest, of course. Payment of interest and penalties are demanded by IRS but if they owe citizens money, there is no commensurate penalties or interest.
Countless man hours have been lost and spent fretting, fiddling, and filing tax forms every year. The IRS says filing is voluntary, but try not volunteering. Everyone knows there is a possibility that armed IRS agents could show up if taxes aren’t filed and paid. Prison could be looming. Thus, the IRS is a fear-based system. Nazi Germany had the Gestapo and we have a heavily-armed IRS.
Taxes on our labor are unconstitutional. Think about it—a worker trades labor for money. That’s an even trade. Where is the windfall profit from which the IRS demands their ‘cut?’ Why must we pay interest on our own money? Congress has the authority to create money debt-free. Sure, it would be inflationary if too much is printed, but we have rampant inflation already. Everyone is noticing how expensive eggs are now.
It’s time to end the Federal Reserve and their heavily-armed collection agency, the IRS. It’s a system that grows government as well as an ever-ballooning and un-payable debt. It’s an illogical system that is at odds with ‘the land of the free.’
Trump will collect revenue from tariffs. He is also ending taxes on tips. It’s time to end the income tax altogether.
If fiat money must be created, let it be the debt-free kind.
