The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.24. This is the LORD'S doing it is marvellous in our eyes. Psalm 118:20-23. This song proclaims that Jesus is the foundation of His church. His deliverance is sure, and His mercy is without measure. Jesus is the gate of righteousness. Without Christ, there is no entrance to heaven. Now we picture the singer passing through the open gate, declaring God's great work of salvation, covering the redeemed in His Righteousness. Even though the religious leaders rejected Christ, God established Jesus as the Chief cornerstone of the church. Uniting Jew and Gentile. Binding God and man together, for He is both. Christ joins time and eternity in one, He was a man of a few years, and yet He is the Ancient of Days. It is far better to have Jesus as Savior, to receive His grace and mercy. Then, to experience His power as Judge, who is sinless and able to judge sin justly. Salvation is of the Lord Christ. It will not be found in any other. Amen.
