18. But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.19. For out of the heartproceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:20. These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man. Matthew 15:18-20. Jesus in front of a multitude deals with the scribes and Pharisees who were sent from Jerusalem to investigate the words and work of Jesus. They taught from traditions not from scriptures. When you compare the things proposed by men against the Commandments of God, the things of men fall short. Jesus explained it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles but what comes out. These things come from the inner man and can be quickly discerned if it is good or evil. Today is not much different. We have religious leaders teaching against the word of God to accept the ways of men. Creating a path to eternal destruction. Moving them off the path to eternal life. If the word of God is not in you, it will be easy to lead you away from Christ. Remember, on Christ the Solid Rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand. Amen.
