4. Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
5. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
6. Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
7. Remembered not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.
Psalm 25:4-7
The psalmist reveals his relationship with Christ. Asking for God's guidance in which way God would lead him, he understands there is no one more truthful than God.
The psalmist declares God as the God of his salvation, having been rescued in the spiritual and physical sense. No person will take lightly being instructed and guided by the Almighty.
There is security in waiting on God, for nothing can be hid from His eyes.
Proof of the psalmist relationship is that he seeks God's grace and goodness. Having firsthand experience in God's love, he asks that his sins be forgotten. The love of Christ is full of mercy and forgiveness, that sin, and its punishment are forgotten. Christ's love is beyond measuring. Amen.
