26. And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:27. And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.28. And I will give him the morning star.29. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.Revelation 2:26-29 The first thing you must take note of is that these are not John's words, but Christ's. Christ in this chapter has several letters to the seven churches. He has stated He hates the works of the Nicolaitanes, these are church members who engage in unrestrained immoral activities, and eat meals sacrificed to idols. Putting Satan at the head of worship and Christ last. Christ says all who overcome this immoral and idolatrous influence will rule with Him. In that day, righteousness shall rule, and transgressors will be destroyed. And to the overcomer, Christ will give the greatest reward, Himself, for He is the Morning Star. These words are to all in the Church. Those who lead others to sin. Those that follow sin. Those who permit sin. And to the faithful who must hold fast to the end. Amen.
