14. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;15. And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; as his voice as the sound of many waters.16. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.17. And when I saw him, I feel at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:18. I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and death. Revelation 1:14-18 ?? The picture of Christ here, the eternal God, from everlasting, with eyes like fire, to warm you with His love, or to consume His enemies, in judgment. Out of His mouth came a sharp, two edge sword, the Gospel message, defensive against Satan, for His saints, and offensive weapon, against false teachers, and every enemy of God. John, seeing Christ in all His Majesty, falls as dead at Christ's feet. But the same right hand, that held the Stars of the seven churches, lifts up John, strengthens, supports him, like all who come to Him, and worship at His feet, shall be comforted. The first and last, the remover of all fears, there is no other. The first to rise from the grave, to everlasting glory. And the only One, who has defeated, death, and hell. The giver of eternal life, He is to be accepted and loved, for there is no other like Him. Amen.
