I know I am strong, but there are days when I wish I could take a break from it all. Strength can feel like both a gift and a burden, like a constant expectation that I must carry the weight of the world without faltering. The world often assumes that because I am capable, I can handle everything, no matter how heavy it gets. But what about the moments when I just want to rest, to be vulnerable, to not have to keep pushing through? There are times when the act of being strong feels like a performance, one that leaves me exhausted and longing for a pause from the pressure to always be "okay."
Sometimes, I wish I could just let go without fearing that it will be seen as weakness. I want the space to not have to be the one who holds everything together, the one who picks up the pieces when everything falls apart. It’s exhausting trying to be the rock for everyone else when I too need to lean on someone. Strength is important, but it’s also okay to ask for help, to not have all the answers, and to be allowed to rest. Even the strongest people need a break from carrying the world—if only to recharge and remind themselves that being human is just as important as being strong...
