Soul mates are not always lovers in the sense of physical pleasure. They are those whom you resonate with on a soul level. Sometimes family, your truest friends and sometimes even folks you just meet and share something profound with.
It is common to mistake a soulmate for someone you want to be intimate with. Our life experience, especially when we’ve experienced a lack of true love, often causes us to see these people as the only ones who truly understand us. So of course we want it all with them.
If it works out that way, it is all well and good. We will continue or complete our karmic debt with them and keep it moving into the next experience, whatever that may be.
Change often occurs in this context as we are reflected through them back at ourselves. We become more aware of who we are and what we need to do to become more whole and complete.
