1. Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
2. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
3. The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters.
4. The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.
Psalm 29:1-4 ??
The Angels, and all creatures of strength, created by God, have a duty to praise and worship God, and His Son Jesus.
But this verse is to the great men of the earth, who have a tendency to rest in their own greatness.
Here they are commanded to give the Lord, glory and honor, for it is of Him, that they have received all.
The Lord only is to be worshipped. And in holiness, is how we worship. Shall we come before the Lord, polluted and defiled, shall our praise and worship be accepted.
We must be holy, as He is Holy, to come to God, we must first come to Christ, and be made free of our sins.
We as the church, are presented to God, by the Son, as clean, and without spot, or wrinkle.
God voice is in the thunder, He alone controls the lightning, but they are not to honored, but God, is the Almighty, and He alone, is to be praised and worshipped, the Father, as with the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
The voice of God, is powerful to salvation, in the hearing of the Gospel, and Christ's words, are still filled with Power, and Authority. Amen.
