Love was made for people and people for love but in today’s world, the coin seems to have a different tale to narrate.
Rather than loving their neighbors people today seem to focus on loving money, possessions, status and other materialistic endeavors and use their fellow beings as expendable tools, only useful when they are needed.
When love is replaced with utility, it always leads to pain and mistrust. Relationships become superficial, and bonds become estranged.
Friends, Family and partners eventually become distant when they are wanted only as tools to enable artificial satisfaction.
This in turn results in loneliness and feeling of helplessness as nothing can substitute true human interaction.
Additionally, wanting to surround one with “things” above people allows a life that survives to seek wanting – more money, more triumph, more materialistic desires – instead of profound relationships.
Things may grant brief moments of contentment, even abandonments! but never on a level that the instinct of adoration from other humans would achieve.
However, knowing individuals always transcend all importance would instantly rid the world of grief and war.
Things can easily be replaced while humans cannot. May we always use things and cherish individuals instead. In doing so, we build a world filled with pure hearts, hope and love...
