9. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
10. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
11. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
12. Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
Hebrews 2:9-12
Jesus is the very center, the main focus of our spiritual life. He died for sinners because of His love. He is your Savior. There is no other. He is our Healer, Friend, Master. See Him all around you at every moment.
He came in human form tasting death. It had no lasting power for He rose from the tomb. He shall never experience death again. This one-time death provided salvation to all who received. Those who neglected such a great salvation did not consider it great. Therefore, they would not make a commitment.
We are saved by a great Savior, at a great cost, saving us from a great penalty. Amen.
