For the second year in a row it snowed in the Smoky Mountains during fall color season. The road up to Kuwohi (previously Clingmans Dome) opened up around noon and this is what happened at sunset. A most incredible display of warm sunset light coupled with the snow covered landscape at the very top. Truly “Fire and Ice”. Photo taken on October 16, 2024.
