7. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.8. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.9. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10. I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.Jeremiah 17:7-10 Blessed is anyone who trusts Christ over men. Anyone who delights in His word and follows in His ways. Those who follow Christ are like trees planted by the living water of Christ. Growing roots into the Gospel message. There is nothing to fear in Christ, His promises are yes, and let it be so. Christ is eternal. His promises are the same. We are unable to know the depths of the sin that lurks in us. But Christ the Creator knows all about us, has searched us, and tried the hidden things in us. And has not dealt with us after our past. But rewarded us with a new heart and new spirit, and we shall bear fruit for His kingdom in His name. Amen.
