The aftermath of Hurricane Helene continues to affect Newport, TN, where the trestle has given way, resulting in the rail hanging above the remnants on October 23rd. The photos of the collapse bridge and one of the bridge right after the waters of the Pigeon River receded.
It was still in use.The tracks through Marshall were laying in the river and the railroad contractors got them pulled back into a somewhat normal position finally.
