Jacob received the name Israel when he struggled with God and overcame. Genesis 32:28-29.
Jews and Gentiles are united into God's family by Christ.
We are protected under the shadow of His wing.
The heat of the day and all in contains can do no harm. The cold of night and fears of the unknown have no power over God's people. The sheep of His pasture.
Christ defeated evil at the Cross for all of time. The victory of that battle preserves the souls of every believer into eternity.
When as a youth we go out into life, God is with us. At the end of the journey, our death, our coming in, Christ is there to receive us. So, from beginning to end, we are never alone.
