4. Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,5. Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.6. Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.7. But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. 8. Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee saith the Lord. Jeremiah 1:4-8 Jeremiah is telling us how he came to be a Prophet. God said He knew him before he was conceived. God knew him before he was born. And had separated him from the world for His purpose. God said He was Prophet to nations. We are included in that statement. Jeremiah responded, saying, Lord God, I am too young. I do not know what to say. What an experience to converse with the Almighty. To receive anything from this, you must believe it is God speaking. He knows what He is doing, and He cares for His own. All in Christ are cared for in a way no one can match. Jeremiah is told the way will not be easy, but God will protect him. That promise covers us. Here, Jeremiah revealed that God put forth His hand and said, I have put my words in your mouth. I have set you over nations and kingdoms. Jeremiah had a personal relationship with God. And we are invited to do the same in Christ Jesus, the Savior of the world. Amen.
