“In Open Celebration”
Parked,
Unpacked,
All set up and wandering around.
Listening to the music,
Drinking,
Dancing, smiling, and radiating luminance.
The campfire,
The good morning kiss,
The transformational experience.
Making meaning from what is.
The meals shared,
The smiles,
The handstands,
The collaboration,
The community,
The farewell labyrinth walk.
Sand that holds the footsteps of many thousand children,
Shamans and healers,
Spiritual leaders,
And one Wavy soul.
The smell of sage,
The energy of those who stood there before we ever walked the path,
Breaking the laws of physics,
And taking home more energy than we arrived with,
While leaving behind even more than we took with us.
The ride home,
The after,
The continued life, as a magnifying glass of love and light.
It’s all Gravy, baby…
The comforting smile,
The contagious laugh,
The wavelengths emanating from the path…
The unwavering desire to help others.
The taken and the left.
They’re one and the same,
The worst,
The best,
The words I heard her say were:
“I’m sorry…I’m just going back”.
The reply I gave her was:
“Aren’t we all?
That’s all we can really ever do.
All any of us ‘really’ can ever do…
Is ‘go back’.
We’re just walking each other home, after all.
And then, when we get to the end,
We’ll just ‘go back’ again.”
The tears on the soil that holds the footsteps of many thousand children,
Shamans and healers,
Spiritual leaders,
And now us too…
It shall feed the smiles,
Which radiate gratitude,
And pave the road ahead,
With the energy created by us
On the hog farm
With the labyrinth
That holds the footsteps of many thousand children,
Who may have walked onward
To become the shamans
And the healers,
And the spiritual leaders,
And the creators of a future that is even brighter than the brilliance of today...
