OBAMA LECTURES THE BRUTHAS Cartoon published 10/13/2024 Kamala’s campaign is flopping, so she called out a big gun: Barack Obama. The trouble is, Obama is firing duds. He recently spoke to a group of black men, and what he said came across as a hectoring lecture. Obama delivered insults when thought he was giving a pep talk. He urged black men to vote for Kamala because, well, you know—she’s black and a woman. That checks two identity politics boxes, so she deserves to be president. Forget that she can’t talk extemporaneously about policy. She blankly said she doesn’t regret anything Biden has done and would not have done anything different. Harris talks about turning the page, but the next page is the same page. She’s fine with Obama’s disaster in Afghanistan, higher gas prices, late-term abortion, inflation, men in women’s locker rooms, wide open borders, and fanning the flames of endless foreign wars, which could end in nuclear conflagration. Trump has helped black communities far more than Biden/Harris. Under Trump, there was record low unemployment for blacks as well as more economic opportunities. Under Biden/Harris, blacks have suffered from high food prices, illegal aliens taking their jobs, and skyrocketing housing costs, as well as rising crime. Obama talked down to his black audience—he treated them as children, but they are wise to the Democrats’ game. Their votes are no longer guaranteed because they will vote in their best interest—and for the best interest of their country. — Ben Garrison
