FOUND DOG:
UPDATE- dog does not have a microchip, local shelter PAWS Bryson City has details on the dog, and I’ve made a post on Nextdoor. Please keep sharing this post! Service has just come back to our area, so hopefully the owners are in a place to start looking for their pup!
Found dog running along Hwy 28 in Almond, NC 9/28 around 9:30pm. Found near Horse Creek Rd heading back to the Nantahala Gorge. I picked it up and it is safe! Looks to be a white/tan heeler mix, young, very sweet. Blue and black collar but no tags.
If this is your dog, it will stay with us until Thursday, then will go to a foster/friend. I work at Endless River Adventures - please give them a call at 828.488.6199 to contact me. Owner must give sex of dog and send a picture as proof of ownership.
