1. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.2. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.3. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.4. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.5. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.6. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Psalm 1:1-6 ?? Happy is the man, in things temporal, and spiritual, happy in this life, and the life to come. Who is not taught by the ungodly, but he is instructed by God, through His Word. He avoids sinners, does not congregate with them, but stands fast in the ways of Christ. He is not caught up with the scornful, who mock God, His laws, and doctrine, and Gospel. But this person comes alive, with the Word of God, God's laws, commandments, are the very life, his spirit is dependent on them, and becomes his utter most desire. Day and night, the Gospel message, being renewed each day, feeds the soul, and gives knowledge of the most High God. This person is planted in fertile ground, watered in abundance of spiritual blessings, bringing forth fruit, and prospering in every good thing. Unlike the ungodly, planted in a desert, no water, no life, no fruit, till time, dries them up, they turn to dust a blow away, to be remembered, never again. There is a great separation, the righteous, from the ungodly. The ungodly shall not rise to a reward, nor will they be allowed, in the congregation, who Christ, has imputed righteousness, our right standing before God. Christ is aware of who are His, and who resist His ways, a reward is prepared for the just, and judgment for the wicked, and then their destruction, for eternity. Amen. Maranatha Lord Jesus, come quickly.
