10. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
12. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
13. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
14. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
Psalm 103:10-14
The psalmist in his song gives praise to God. For he has knowledge that God is going to lay this burden of sin on Christ.
If you could measure how high heaven is above earth, you would be able to measure the depth of God's mercy.
Because of Christ, all sin has been placed out of God's sight. The punishment has been satisfied for every believer.
We are kind and forgiving to our children. How much more is the Creator in whose image we are made.
To our eternal God, our lifespan would not even make much of a mark. Yet He knows what we are and that we must return to the ground we were formed from.
Salvation is God's grace and mercy, given freely to all who believe. Amen.
