3. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.5. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.6. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of the darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.2 Corinthians 4:3-6 If people do not respond to the Gospel, Paul reveals it is because they are set on destruction, and it is not his fault or Christ's. Their minds are blinded from the glorious light of the Gospel because they love the darkness and choose darkness. Note that the body does what the mind says. It is the very reason why the mind needs to be renewed. At creation, there was no light till Christ spoke it into existence. Not one believer was ever born in the Light. You can not have the darkness and Christ. For where the light is no darkness can be. Paul preached Christ in truth as a servant obeying his Master. Christ who commanded that light should shine, removing darkness. He has brought the redeemed out of the darkness of evil into His marvelous light of eternal life. So we have knowledge of Almighty God in the face of Jesus. Having an understanding that there is no other God or Creator, no other can forgive, reward, or punish. Amen.
