6. Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.7. How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.8. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.9. For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.Psalm 36:6-9 The psalmist can only describe God's mercy as filling the heavens. God's faithfulness, as reaching high into the clouds. His judgments are going deep to the bottom of the sea. And God maintains life throughout the earth. The psalmist feels God's lovingkindness on a personal and intimate level. And God has invited all to put their trust in Him, the eternal God that created all life and is able to protect everything He created. As God expects the best from us, so He gives the best to us. The river of eternal life the reward for His faithful followers springs from God as a fountain of life and joy. We have been invited into the light out of the grip of darkness and destruction. In Christ was the true Light, and He is able to give abundantly every good thing to all who come to Him in truth. Amen.
