16. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:17. And if Christ be raised, your faith is in vain; ye are yet in your sins.18. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.1 Corinthians 15:16-19 Paul found in Corinth people saying there was no resurrection from death. In simple terms, he explains. If there is no resurrection, then Christ did not rise from the grave. And if Christ did not rise, His death was in vain, and we are all responsible for our sins. All who have passed from this earth have gone to eternal destruction. And if while we are alive, we have hope in Christ's salvation. But death shall show us guilty of all our sins. What possible joy could we have. So, in the next 3 verses, Paul proves that Christ can be trusted. Amen.
