6. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:7. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:9. Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.10. But the God of all grace, who has called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.11. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:6-11 ?? Be humble before God. Who has resisted His power, and prevailed ? And those shall be lifted up, who have humbled themselves before the Almighty. Being anxious for nothing, for God will supply your every need. Sobriety, and watchfulness, are very necessary in the Christian life. You adversary the devil, plays a deceitful game, and with lies, and accusations, attacks, when your at rest. As a lion hunts prey, Satan hunts, souls. God, has given us a way out, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Every Christian is under some sort of attack and we have been witness of those that have come through victorious in Christ. We have been invited by God, through His Son, to inherit eternal glory in Christ. He shall never be defeated, who has won us the Victory, Glory, and Majesty, to Christ, the Son, Amen
