14. For the body is not one member, but many.
15. If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
16. And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
17. If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
18. But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
1 Corinthians 12:14-18
Paul states that all who follow Christ being converted in the new birth are all whether Jews or Gentiles baptized into the same body of Christ.
Paul uses the illustration of the human body to relate to the community of believers.
As our body has many parts with different functions, so to the Church.
If our foot were to say I am not a hand, I am not part of the body.
Is Paul's picture of a believer not having the same spiritual gift as another and feeling their not part of the body of Christ.
God has given the gifts to each individual as He sees fit.
And we all fit together in His perfect plan.
Christ has brought us together into God's family, and there should be no division in us. Because we do have something that was given to others.
We all received something from the Spirit in the new birth, and the goal is to be united in our task. To be effective in sharing Christ with the world. Amen.
